Hey Everyone!

We shot this punk rock music video and I wanted to share it!

It was our homage to the 'one take' style video, without going for a full one take video. So we began it as a single take and then transitioned in more and more edits until it turns into a classic performance video. But I like how it feels!

Some technical details: We shot on a Canon C200 with a single 35mm f/1.4 lens. We used a DJI Ronin (yes, the very first generation Ronin) to help stabilize the camera. The crew was two people, we unofficially split roles into director and cinematographer, although we about equally operated camera and at two people you're just getting whatever needs to happen done.

It took us about 6 takes to get the initial oner in the can, most of that was working with the timing of the 'car crash' fog and with the walk speed of the lead singer.

Speaking of fog, I used an interesting technique where you basically take a bug fogger like this: https://amzn.to/2NzqwB2 and DONT FILL IT WITH BUG POISON, instead put this inside: https://amzn.to/2x0n8VC. Anyway, it worked like a charm and we ended up using it heavily for the performance section of the video too.
The final shot of the video was a DJI Mavic Pro that I was doing my best to make look like a big 'ole camera crane, not a drone.

I'd love to hear your feedback or thoughts!

Thanks guys!

- Luke
