One of the best Romantic Fantasy movies I have seen.
This France movie is also called Donkey Skin. The story is about a princess that her father the king is so taken by her beauty, that he wanna marry her. The poor girls felling about love to a father is confusing here, luckily she have her fairy godmother, that helps her to see things clearer. First of all I was so taken by the artwork on the cover and the felling I got from still photos I saw. So I got this film on DVD and I was really taken by it. It was so beautiful that is almost made me sad really. The more the story was progressing the more it felt like I was looking at another version of Cinderella, no wonder though. This story is an old fairy tale by Charles Perrault. Now I must say I did not know about him. Many of you that read this might now him. But for u that do not know, he also made Cinderella or Cendrillon as it is called, do any off u know the story Le petit chaperon rouge, no. I did not know it, but that is the original name for Little Red Riding Hood that he have also made. This guy made many storys that got really famous, more of what he did is La belle au bois dormant (Sleeping Beauty), Le chat botté (Puss in Boots) and Le petit poucet (Tom Thumb). One thing, that I found interesting to say, just as a funny thing, is that Jim Morrison was visiting the set :)
