    Default Film Idea

    Hello,

I have a really good film idea, and have just finished doing the script for the pilot episode of a TV Series. I've asked around at my University and gathered some feedback from a small number of people, and have worked upon that feedback. Everyone has been giving really good feedback on my final piece and are looking forward to watching it once it's been made.

I'm not really sure if this is the right forum to post in, but I was wondering if anyone knows how I could sell this script or help me make it into a actual TV Series? I'll be willing to work with others and continue to develop scripts & storyboards for the rest of the series if they are willing to make the film.

I don't know anything about how to get it off the ground though I found that through shootingpeople.com you can "pitch your script". Whatever that means. Haha. I just make sound. :) It is under their '"production" menu.

I'm also wondering this, what should i do with my film idea for make it happen.
It is so annoying you have great idea that you are completely sure it would be great movie, but you dont know what you should do with it.
I found some agents on Web, which claims they will analyze your script if it posibble try to sell it to hollywood. But how can i trust them? What if they are only hope stealers ? Or steal my idea...

I think you like me, you dont have any formal copyright on your work are you ?
So how we can sell our script without loosing copyrights of it ?

is there anybody here, who knows this process ?
and ım also wondering did you write proper screenwrite of your idea ?

To get into the discussion it would be great to take a look at the script first. Or at least you have to have a synopsis of it. Until I don't know the theme and what is happening in it hard to say something definite. So will share some general thoughts of animated film making and animated tv series production.

First and the main thing - all the characters and locations should be well described and showcased with the references. Every creator that will be involved - needs to clearly understand the universe he or she is depicting and animating. Most projects really lack a good description of a storyboard.

Second, the script is the key. The better scriptwriter you find the more efficiently you will be moving with the project on the later stages. The script is the first stage, so don't miss a chance to hire or engage the best professional scriptwriter you can get.

I will show you how it works with animated explainer videos - https://darvideo.tv/how-it-works/
Although this is a short format, the longer videos (saying about for instance animated character movies) all the stages and problems are the same. It works with tiny projects and with big projects due to the same production pipeline. Sometimes it is better to test some pilot version or a short animated part of the whole project on a short animation 2-3 minutes to understand how it works and what effects make on the viewers.
