It is called a rack focus. A lens, typically with a wide open aperture and/or a higher focal length on manual focus can give you this effect.

I'm about to shoot a music vid in a few days and I'm thinking about trying to employ a haze / fog machine to make use of some lights. I want to have a light with blue gel in the background on the left and one with red gel on the right. the scene with be more of a down up angle with the talent on sitting on the hood of a car. The cars head light will probably...

I liked the feel and the mood set. The dialog was decent and got the point across. In my mind I would have liked the first guy to give a little more info on why too many guards was a problem, maybe the in the climax or when they knew that had to go through with it and we calibrate the plan. I'm tried looking for the video you posted a while back with you playing multiple parts in your short piece. Can you get me the link to where you posted it on the forums?
  3. I fell asleep around 2am and the files were not zipped. I just tried to start the upload and it's saying the zip is TOO LARGE. I then tried uploading the first file which is 2.3g and that's also too large. I don't know what's wrong. Any ideas? I'm going to work in a half hour. I'll get your message when I get home later. Thanks: George

I just got home from work about a hour ago just looking to see if the footage is ready for me to download. I will check again in the mourning. I just want to make sure you are not having any trouble logging in and uploading.
