Hello all~

I am a composer seeking to expand my body of work. I have a wide range, and somewhat of a more classic sound...any who, I enjoy writing and researching for many types of projects. Film, video, or just simply a listening experience. I strive to always make my music as original as possible, so shoot me a message sometime if you would like to chat scores, music, or discuss writing some cues for a project~!

I do have a webpage, samples and all of that good stuff, feel free to check it out~

I personally don't use notation at all, so I have never used finale before. But from what I hear it is for the most part a relatively decent program to use, there seems to be a lot of value to it. I think the more you toy with the expressive nature of how to manipulate the instruments, the better a result you will get. This function is much greater doing it on...

Well those are primarily post production services that organize/edit materials that have all ready been created and mostly "locked" in a particular fashion. You couldn't alter the composition of an all ready shot video (although one could argue pan and scan) but, music compositions are too complex to simply load into a program that way. Finale does have a...

Haha like myself!! If it isn't some incredibly long cue I'd totally take a look at it. Assuming you don't plan on adding instruments beyond the scope of classical/baroque instrumentation~

Haha yes unfortunately there isn't much of a middle ground for this topic. It's basically a substandard midi interpretation, or a buildup from the ground up. Depending on it's usage the first option may be just fine~

There are numerous programs out there that can probably recognize sheet music and convert it into digital sheet music for midi or virtual instruments. I bet an hour or so searching on the net for free downloads or relatively inexpensive solutions would turn up a lot. Using these programs comes at a cost though, its like loading a novel into microsoft word...

Greetings~ That's great you have the means to produce a project like this, but keep in mind creating a tapestry that the observer has to stitch together themselves does become complicated and can wane in interest if it's weak. This sounds sort of simple and off target, but would probably give you a flurry of ideas on the "how" to film/animate what you...

Thanks again, it's tedious and time consuming but satisfying when it turns out okay. And that is quite interesting! I recall my college having a bunch of Kurzweil keyboards in some sound production classes, they had some great sounding samples loaded into them. Never fully got a chance to explore their capabilities, but they turned me on using controllers to...

Muchas gracias! I did record and compose this myself, used a cache of virtual instruments and a decent midi controller. I've been playing around with ways to make, I guess what would be considered a close representation of an orchestra, something that sounds sonic-ally accurate. The hope down the road would be fooling an audience into thinking it's a live...

Greetings All~ It has been awhile since I've shared a cue with others, so what better time to share one when...you actually have one to share haha. I've been chipping away at different ways to make instruments and recording locations sound as authentic as possible given the numerous manipulative functions these virtual workstations provide now a days. Tried...

I personally don't know any agents in Minnesota unfortunately~ Being the analytical monster I am, I found a neat website for you to wet your thirst on a little bit. It shares some stories about current and past talent that got noticed by Disney agents. Shares their education, life events, personal struggles, etc. I think you should read through some because...

You might have an idea that seems just perfect for the Walt Disney Company, but Disney doesn't necessarily want to know about it. As a general policy, Disney rejects most—if not all—unsolicited ideas, in large part to protect the company from legal claims. Sometimes, the company is already working on an idea someone else is trying to submit. There are ways to...

Hey Josh, I've been seeking a new project recently, and wouldn't mind a challenge as I haven't written any swing music to date. I have the palette for it, just never had a project for it. So, if you're interested (or end up running out of options) in seeing what I could provide, let me know and I can drum up some swing samples for you~ scoreworks.webs.com...
