    Default Agencies

Can an agent represent a client even when that client lives in another state?
Can they if there were special circumstances for that client?

I would imagine that any respectable agent, or person for that matter, would not discriminate representing clients of any race, creed, sexual orientation, status of disability, or financial disposition (although one must be able to pay for services!).

Don't real professional agents get paid when their clients are?

I'm sure both strains exist. Some might charge a fee for their services, others collect a fee when work is found for their clients~

    What are the best agencies?
By those standards, the best ones that have even worked with Disney?

You need to DO something before any agency will be interested in you. Write a screenplay. And then write five more. Produce a short movie. Better yet, make lots of short movies. Get your work out there. Only then will any agency possibly be interested in working with you (or with anyone).

What if you are just getting started? Only written spec scripts and need to get them out there? Willing to work with other writers to get a full script?

Try submitting your best script(s) to competitions - that can get you some feedback and also attention if you do well.
