I was wondering since I am not allowed to repaint the walls in owner's locations to make them look more cinematic, rather than just plain white walls, like so many locations have, what if I were to light the walls, with a light covered in CTB gel, so the cold blue looking walls would separate the background from the actors? Or I could do a teal gel instead perhaps.

That way, the walls are not just plain white and the teal color will separate the actors from the background more, since the background walls are lit with a different color than the actors, and make it look more cinematic therefore.

However, will the audience thinks this looks weird? Will they think 'why do the walls look like they are lit with a colored light?', rather than actually being painted that color instead?

What do you think?
