      Awesome. What camera, lenses, color correction, did you use?

          This band hired us to shoot this music video. I directed this music video. Some DP work. Also, which film did you do?

              That's amazing. It's something I'd expect to see on MTV -- if they still showed music videos. lol

                  Well you did a great job, very very good. Producing quality produces like this can really increase your chances with funds for a feature film. You show that you can spend money wisely (i hope) and produce a great looking product.

                          Hi dude

                          Fantastic look to the video, love the atmospheric touches like the odd whisp of smoke here and there, the choice of shots and cuts - the almost sepia look of the footage.

                          I do have some crits, but don't think they're anything that would have fallen under your control;

                          The song - sorry, this kind of sanitised rock panders too far to the mainstream for my liking.

                          The band and their image - so they sound a bit soft, but they want the credibility of a darker image. Masks? Hasn't that been done to death already? Thought the female vocalist had the balance right though, she looked the part and didn't overplay it.

                          The concept - I really liked the set up of the conceptual side of the video - who doesn't enjoy an atmospheric short featuring a mental hospital, a patient in a straight jacket and some creep doctors and nurses? It was good stuff, and I wondered where it would end up, it kept me watching and I was expecting a coup de grace at the end. For one frightening moment I thought it was going to deliver. When the nurses are holding the patient down, unless I'm very mistaken the doctor then performs what looks like a lobotomy - a horrifying outdated medical procedure that was thought to pacify insane people by essentially inflicting irreversible frontal lobe brain damage on them, back in a an era prior to modern advances in mental healthcare and neurology. So, having read up on lobotomies and their potential effects, I was really impressed and taken with the suspense as you delayed the final reveal of the post-lobotomy patient, slowly tracking upwards towards her head - which I entirely expected to bear the tell tale signs of this horrific treatment - I guess I was expecting her forehead to be covered with a blood stained bandage, her expression to be vacant and her eyes glazed - staring into the distance - a human being forcefully robbed of their humanity. Instead, her hairs been ruffled a bit, she looks like she's got a hangover and has a makeup job that wouldn't be wasted on an Alice Cooper tribute act! What the hell happened there, dude? I was so expecting the money shot.

                          I really don't want to be negative about the video because, and as everyone else has so far commented, it looks stunning and you have done a fantastic job - I just think you could have knocked it well and truly out of the park if that final shot had of delivered.

                          Jim
