  • It is all legal?

Hello again. I want to ask something. Today, I was checking up the topics here and I was in one topic for actors. One of the members in the forum wrote this.

First off, make sure you get legal permission, and that you're not breaking any laws or putting yourself at risk, etc. etc. etc.
My short film it's gonna be in the woods. It's legal to shoot in the woods, right? Don't worry, I'm not gonna cut down any trees, haha :D

Assuming "the woods" is public property, yes.

Then what should I do? I mean, In our country random people just cut trees, without they have premissions, but there are still okay. Who I have to ask to know if I can shoot there?

I would say: You should be more focused on Permits and if they are needed to shoot there. Why you say "woods" it could mean some wild life reservation, and if you have a fire or shooting guns this can cause issues. First look into Permits.
