  • Hola Mi Amigos

I'm Chris (or Postaldave), I'm a 32 year old Technology Specialist (hopefully not for long) who has been supporting his wife through her PhD studies. Now that she is done I'm finally going to get a chance to pursue my dream of filmmaking.

I'm drawn to the craft because of my love for storytelling.

I live in the San Diego area and have a beautiful 4 month old baby boy.

If anyone is looking for someone to help on a set hit me up, I'm happy to do just about anything at this point.

    Hi Dave

Please tell us what your experience is in production? Also, you like story telling. What genre do you write?

Welcome postal Dave! I have a 3 month old right now :) - Post up some of your work when you can, and don't be afraid to start a topic if you have a question or comment!

        Thanks for the greetings.

I'm just getting started honestly, I've been getting stories started but not really finished for about 2 years now (dissertation has taken a long time for the Mrs.) and acquiring gear to do my own stuff.

I've worked a few years at SDCC (San Diego Comic Con) for the PR dept filming attendee interviews and just recently shot a small PSA with someone I just met trying to make film friends.

I've been writing a lot of random crap but most of my inspiration is from fantasy (wheel of time, LeGuin, etc) and scifi (bradbury is what started my love for storytelling).

Welcome to the forum Chris/Dave. ;)

I'm new to the filming game as well. Like nick said don't hesitate to post any questions. From my personal experience everyone here is extremely nice and helpful!
          The newbie.

Welcome, I think you will find this forum far better then the other forums full of trolls and people who do not know what they are talking about. Not kidding on another forum like 5 people recommended something to me and it was a $2,000 mistake, then I read a post from Nick on the same forum and it really helped me figure out what to do, I actually found this site via his profile on the others. Best of luck with your future projects
