Default How to find a DVD-V to burn my film on?

I am finished with a film, but can't find a any DVDS that are not DVD-Rs, which don't play on a DVD player. Where do I go to buy the kind that does?

Since when do DVD-Rs not play on DVD-players?

What do you do when you burn a film on DVD?

I was told they only played on computers. I guess my friend didn't know what she was talking about.
    Thanks for telling me.

You need software to create a DVD that plays on DVD-players. Just putting a file on it does indeed not work.

I know that you can use VLC Player to do that or turn the video file along with the main menu, special features, and the interface programming; turn it into an iso and burn it to a DVD like that.

I still use Adobe Encore for it. I believe it can still be downloaded in the Creative Cloud.
