I hope all that are on here from the states, are keeping safe and dry from Irma...

annoyingly they don't seem to be showing much on the news over here in the uk of the other 2... so I hope they don't cause any issues

good luck people

Thank you.

After the devastation in Texas and Louisiana from hurricane Harvey resources here to cope with everything are stretched thin. I live in Ohio, far north of Texas and Florida, and there were 900 Electrical workers and their trucks from my area headed toward Florida a few days ago to be prepared to start restoring electricity after the storm. This is typical.

Some countries have sent help with Harvey, but certainly not like when a country other than the US has such an experience. I guess we are just expected to be able to handle it all. Well, any help is needed for such a scale of devastation. With all the assistance the US provides, with my tax dollars, for aide to other countries, the help would be appreciated.

I too am still waiting to see what the results of Irma are. I just haven't watched news today. Haven't had the chance.

People in Florida are rather quite used to hurricanes. The specific part of Florida that Irma hit though this time hadn't had the full brunt of a hurricane in a very long time.

Thank you for your concern.

that's ok, I'm sure a lot of people are relieved it died down when it did, Orlando etc...still unfortunate for all those on the run up to that area... I cant imagine what it would it be like to see your house, half of what it looked like before etc...

thankyou for your update.... and have to agree about the assistance, cant believe the uk took so long :(

I rode Irma out. I was right in the direct path of the eye. Minimal damage though.
