Hi, everyone!

This is my first post so I hope you enjoy it. My name is DALE MORTON, I'm a special effects makeup artist and creature maker from West Virginia. I make a living creating mascot character costumes but my first love has always been monsters and makeup. I've worked on a few small independent films, and have some television and commercial experience. I'm also a student of the late Dick Smith's Advanced Professional Makeup Course. Most recently I've been involved with James Cawley's fan series "STAR TREK: NEW VOYAGES" for which I've created some alien makeups and I'm currently working on a full gorilla suit for one of their up-coming episodes. So, here is a sampling of my work. I do hope you enjoy it and that you will rely on me if ever you have a need for a prosthetic makeup artist or full-scale creature designer. :-)

Thanks for looking.

-Dale.

This is a Ferengi prosthetic piece that I created and applied for an up-coming episode of "STAR TREK: NEW VOYAGES" called "The Holiest Thing".

This is a re-creation of commander Balok from the Star Trek episode "The Corbomite Maneuver". This head was created for use in the "STAR TREK: NEW VOYAGES" Kickstarter campaign.

This is my makeup on actor Clay Sayre as Klingon Commander Kor for the "STAR TREK: NEW VOYAGES" episode "MIND-SIFTER".

Dude...how much (average) did it cost you to make these?

Which one? The cost can vary in the extreme depending on the project, and some of the things I've posted were done merely for practice. But the full-body Mothman suit (the creature with the big red eyes and wings) cost about $6000.00 to make.

Glad you're enjoying them. :-)

How about the Klingon mask? That's pretty sweet.

Thank you! I sell latex copies of that Klingon appliance. An unpainted one costs $30.00 + $8.00 shipping. A fully painted one would be $60.00 + $8.00 shipping.
