View Full Version : What is a good editing program for Mac (besides Final Cut Pro)?

Besides Final Cut Pro, what is a good editing program that is good for editing? I just switched over from PC, and I'm need something to edit with besides the already given iMovie.

Adobe Premiere or Avid Media Composer are the industry standards.

Avid is a tad high-end, so I'd recommend Adobe Premier to start. It works a lot like Final Cut, the pre-X version, anyway. It should fit your mac-editing needs. If price is an obstacle, buy an older version on ebay--as long as it works with your current OS.

Adobe Premiere is available for PC and Mac so it would be a nice transition for you. That is what I did several years ago.
