Hi everyone :)
It's been a while since I've been here.

I'm trying to find some editing software but there's too many options. I would like to go with Adobe Premiere Pro but I'm only 14 so the cloud subscription could be a bit of a problem. Is there a way to buy it outright so there's no subscription? Or can I get just a Premiere subscription and if so how much is it?

Or is there any other software that I can just buy outright? Is the Lightworks outright license forever?

I'd like it under 250, please.

Sorry about all the questions :)

Thanks
Littlemonkey

There is a student discount for the cloud, and you can pay each year in advance for the rest of the year.

Otherwise, you could just buy an old copy of cs6 (which works fine, I use cs6 and it is still used a lot.)

Just been looking around and I've found Sony Movie Studio 13 platinum which looks good enough for my needs and is only 50. Has anyone had any experience with it before?
Thanks

It depends, what are you planning to do with it?

Edit short films, edit biking videos with it.

I meant to post the link before:

That looks fine then. Just don't count on visual effects, and I'm sure the color grading is less than ideal. But, as a basic editor it looks like more than enough.

You can get older versions of some software on ebay to save money--and bypass the cloud entirely.

I wouldn't bother with the cloud. The cloud is someone saying "Yeah, put it on our computer. We won't look at it.......really. We won't sell information about you to advertisers who can track you by your IP address."

I have used both Vegas Movie Studio and Vegas Pro, both "10," and there is little difference in quality of what you can do. The Pro gives you the ability to have unlimited timelines for audio and video whereas Movie Studio is limited. Pro also has some more features, but you can edit video in both and they will come out looking the same, for the most part.

Duplicate. Can I delete this or does an admin need to? If I can please tell me how. I did not stumble across it.
