I'm a guy who has gotten most everything from B&H in NYC.

Even if this stuff was worth $50,000 brand new, you do not have to spend that much to make a marketable motion picture.

You can spend $6000 and get a set up that will make you an excellent motion picture with great sound. Of course all of this depends on who is working the equipment. For the most part if you hire a sound man, chances are he'll have his own equipment. The same goes for a DP.

What is high tech and perfect today is garbage in six months. If you don't know the value (recording, quality or $ wise) of the equipment he's selling, it's probably not for you. He's an award winning DP. But, it wasn't just the equipment that won him the awards, it was the material. The material far outweighs the equipment.

Thanks. I was thinking about 6-8 Thousand. I had a couple of friends and we were going to split it up. The killer is the lack of shotgun mics, boom poles, and a slider or jib. How do you make any kind of R&G shots without shotgun mics???
