Hey fellow musicians/composers,

I'm in the market for a new brass library, or brass samples. Do you have a favorite, and why? I'm looking for something that sounds good out of the box, but has a good number of tweakable parameters. Suggestions?

Thanks!

Hello Megan,

Depending on the project, I either use East West's Hollywood Brass Diamond or Spitfire Audio's BML Brass range. HB is great for out the box Hollywood sound, big sections and lots of articulations. The BML range is more aimed at the 'musical detail' and less epic, more classical sounding and smaller sections.

Although, you'd need a good computer and solid state drives to run them effectively.

Best,

Mitchell.
