For the feature film I am now in pre-production on, I have decided to use as many SFX as I can and only resort to VFX as needed. I cut my teeth in the industry using stop motion, light boxes and puppets. So in this feature I need a demon and decided to build one from a Buckey Skeleton with polymer clay to build the muscle, sinew and skin.

Wish me luck and if you have any suggestions, feel free.

No suggestions. But, it sounds cool. I like old school stuff. It just looks better.

Read Grande Illusions I and II. It's not incredibly informative, but it presents some wonderful inspiration and BTS in the process photos. It's the book that got me interested in the art of SFX, or cinema for the matter, but it's worth checking out if you have not. May get some ideas.
