Hey everyone, my name is Charlie and I am helping to curate the new gadabout film fest program, I wanted to let you all know about it.

The Gadabout Film Festival is currently curating our 12th annual short film program. This year we decided to do something different, all films will contain NO DIALOGUE. We are calling the program “SPEECHLESS”.
We are inviting filmmakers from all over the world to submit their work.

We accept all genres, styles, mediums, etc.
All films must contain no dialogue, but do not need to be silent.*
10 minutes or less preferred.
NO SUBMISSION FEE
NO LIMIT ON NUMBER OF SUBMISSIONS
PLEASE EMAIL WITH A LINK TO YOUR FILM AND ANY PASSWORDS WE NEED. INCLUDE YOUR NAME, FILM’S TITLE, RUNNING TIME, AND CONTACT EMAIL. OR SEND A PHYSICAL COPY TO US IN THE MAIL WITH THE SAME INFO.

*The aim of “Speechless” is to have a program that plays with the idea of communication. Verbal language is not the only way to express or tell a story. We’ve decided to accept films with songs that have singing, but the lyrics must not be relevant. So, this includes music videos. Characters may also say things like “huh, hello, hey, ouch”, etc. Any words or noises that are internationally recognized.

If your film is accepted it will be screened at The Gadabout Film Festival in Bloomington Indiana USA April 2014, then considered for a touring program that will screen in over 10 countries throughout the year.

Sounds great! I love seeing filmmakers tell stories visually.
