I know you have a lot going on with the (awesome) changes to the website. Is the banner still coming along? :D

I guess I was outta town during all this--or meeting deadlines and not online. Definitely want in on the ground floor of the next contest.

I'll probably play with this contest footage anyway.

Ugh, I am so sorry. I have not opened up photoshop in months. I have been so busy with distribution and some new laws that apply to our films that I keep forgetting. Can you or someone design one? Something cool like: 2013 Editing Contest Winner! with some awesome modern graphics!!!!

So its dimensions don't matter?

Try not to make it much higher then that image, but it can be a little higher and longer

I came up with this real quick, is it alright?

Nick Soares

Thats cool, but its way to high to be in your sig. You need to cut the height in half.

Nothing seems different. Do I need to do anything for it to work?

Nick Soares

Its working, did you click on "Settings" in the top right and click edit signature? Just click on the editor the "Insert Image" icon and add the URL of the image.

This particular one is - http://www.filmmakerforum.org/images/contest-winner.png
Your original is to big, you need to use this one ^

It's not letting me add an image. I don't see the picture icon like when I want to add a picture to a post, and even when I copied and pasted it the IMG codes don't seem to be working. I think it said images were disabled at the bottom.

Anonymous Filmmaker

I just checked and it's still not letting me add images.

Nick Soares
04-29-2014, 02:01 PM
Hmm, I was able to add it. Can you take a screenshot of the issue

Anonymous Filmmaker
04-29-2014, 02:05 PM
These are the signature permissions. It doesn't let me add images:

Signature Permissions

Allow Basic BB CodeYesAllow Color BB CodeYesAllow Size BB CodeYesAllow Font BB CodeYesAllow Alignment BB CodeYesAllow List BB CodeYesAllow Link BB CodeYesAllow HTMLNoAllow Image BB CodeNoAllow Video BB CodeNoAllow Code BB CodeYesAllow PHP BB CodeYesAllow HTML BB CodeYesAllow Quote BB CodeYesAllow SmiliesYesCan Upload Images for SignatureNoCan Upload Animated GIF for SignatureNo

EDIT: That looks weird, the display got messed up. I'll try a screen shot if you can't read through that.

Nick Soares

Total noobie move on my end, the permissions were not set right for "Pro Members"

Your good now, just remember you image above needs to be half the height you currently have, the width is fine. :)

Anonymous Filmmaker
04-29-2014, 02:12 PM
Thanks. Is the width and height on the version you put up (http://www.filmmakerforum.org/images/contest-winner.png) ok? Because it says "remote file is too large."

Anonymous Filmmaker
04-29-2014, 02:14 PM
Never mind, it stopped saying that. But it's still not displaying correctly.

EDIT: I don't think it can make up it's mind lol it now says remote file size to big again.

Anonymous Filmmaker
04-29-2014, 02:21 PM
Of course. Got it now. It wouldn't let me use the link to a website, I had to download the image and then upload it (same exact image) and then it worked. Figures.
