What are the best lenses for the Canon 5D/6D series cameras that offer the best "film look" to the footage. Also what are some of the best settings to accomplish the film look on the camera. It was mentioned that some lenses do not have the right feel to them, maybe because they are to wide? Anyway please advise to the rest of use how to get the best looking film with the right lenses and settings on the Canon cameras!

Thanks!

Jimmy

This is what I use:

Canon 5D Mark lll
Canon 85mm f/1.8
Canon 50mm f/1.2L
Canon 17-40mm f/4 L
Rokinon 35mm T1.5 Cine
Tiffen Variable ND Filter

24fps, 1/48 shutter, aperture (depending on preference), ISO (depending on light availability), Sharpening (-4), Contrast (0), Saturation (-2)
.....and of course color correction and color grade in post.

Agreed with above, I've got a Canon 50mm 1.4 that I love! Also a a nice wider lens, the Sigma 28mm 1.8 is a good one.

And I still recommend the Technicolor Cinestyle picture style for maximum flatness in picture quality.
