I am thinking about filming a short I just finished. Does anyone have any recommendations on any books or sites to check out in reference to filming shorts? I would be using my Nikon D7000 and of course it would be low budget.

Shot by Shot is one I've read cover to cover, it's one of the first books I ever purchased in regards to filmmaking...

http://www.amazon.com/books/dp/0941188108

and The Grammar of the Film Language is super handy to have around as a reference, especially in regards to blocking and where to put the camera etc, it storyboards common narrative situations and gives you a good starting point when planning how to cover a scene.

Also if you need some low budget inspiration there's Rebel Without a Crew
