Hello! I'm not too sure what the correct term is, but I'm wondering how to "animate" an effect in After Effects.

An example.. Let's say I want to use the "CC burn film" effect on a clip that I'm editing. How do I animate the effect so that the burn gets worse and worse the longer the clip plays? I was hoping that it would be something similar as keyframing, but I've been searching around and can't find anything regarding it since I don't know the correct term to search for.

BTW, how you set your keyframes will determine the length of burn time.

Yes, as "Director" said, use keyframes. This will work with any effect in AE.
