View Full Version : How to sell script doctoring services

I've just been hired for my third rewrite gig, this one's unique because I know the funding is already in place to produce it (it's a 25 minute short). I'm starting to think I should take additional steps to market my abilities as a script doctor. Right now I think it's just casually mentioned on my Mandy.com and New England Film profiles. So what's the best way to do this? Are there existing sites I should join or would I be better off spending a few dollars on my own domain name? What's a reasonable rate for me to charge? More importantly am I getting ahead of myself thinking along these lines? Should I be waiting till it's five or six or ten rewrites before it's worth getting a website?

Any thoughts are welcome.

I think you should have a website for sure, do you currently have one?

Can you imagine if you ranked #1 for "Script Services"

I do not.

I imagine I'd have to pay quite a bit of money to google adwords for that.
