Some folks here seem to like this short I've done the most, so I figured I'd share it with everyone. It's one of those things that started off as "Hey, we need to make something today," turned into "Alright, how about we make something simple that utilizes a cheesy AfterEffects gag" and ended with this an hour later.

That's Austin Hillebrecht, a supremely talented gentleman I met in middle school who I've been collaborating with ever since (I tend to stay behind the camera).

He's moving down to LA sometime this year, so he'll be closer to you soon enough!

Ahh I see. Well you are a very talented director! - What can I do to help you achieve your goals in this industry?

Gosh, I don't know! We're currently focusing our efforts on making more of these shorts, but we also want to distribute our unreleased (but finished) feature this year. We also have some tentative plans for larger-budget features in the future, but with the two of us soon splitting off to different states, there's nothing firm about when we'll get the ball rolling on them.

Maybe I missed it, but what do you shoot your videos on?

We've been using a 5D Mark II and a small assortment of inexpensive photo lenses.

Sean's feature is really good, too. Sorry to hear it hasn't gotten distribution yet.

Did I also miss the feature? Where is it?

I caught it at a festival over a year ago.

Might that have been the one in Vancouver, WA? If so, I remember you! Still haven't seen Crimps yet, but I've heard a fair bit from Tylor Neist. Cool that we share that connection.

Might that have been the one in Vancouver, WA?

It was indeed. Crimps has been struggling to find a home, but hopefully soon...

Whoever created this video has a future in this industry for sure. I just hope he makes the right choices on who to deal with! Love your work man!
