Default Question about making J and L cuts in Premiere Pro.

Basically in Premiere Pro when it comes syncing audio with video I have to 'link', the two together so they stay in sync when moving the clips around. However, in order to make a J or L cut, I cannot move the audio without moving the video. Both move at the same time, and the only way to move one and not the other is too 'unlink' them. But doing this runs the risk of the audio and video going out of sync, should one of them move slightly, during the editing.

Is there a way to make J and L cuts with the video and audio synced and linked, without having to break it apart every time?

Have you done a search for this on YouTube? There are hundreds of videos on this there. Maybe this one will help you.

Okay thanks. I watched some tutorials on youtube but none of them explained to hold down the "alt" button while making the L and J cuts. That saves a lot of time, and helps a lot! Thank you very much.
